We searched together, scouring shops and online stores, but couldn't find what we were looking for. Then, on a trip to Japan, Dolf discovered a gem: a small factory where scale ship models are still lovingly and handcrafted. He brought one home— De Zeven Provinciën , an icon of Dutch history—and proudly displayed it in his office.

That's when we knew: we wanted to share this. ModelWinkel was born out of pure fascination. No mass production, no kits, just ship models that you can put down and simply admire.
